Output force distribution for each face on a patch

I'm really sorry if this question has already been asked, I couldn't locate the solution in the forums.

I can output the integrated pressure and viscous forces on a patch using I've also managed to output pressures and stresses per face using the sample function.

What I need is the forces per face on a patch, together with the coordinates and area of each face. I'll be using this to input to a fluid structure interaction model.

Can anyone advise how to output the distribution of forces on a patch, rather than just the integrated value?

I'm not sure I understand. If you're able to output the pressure and viscous stress per face, then don't you just need to multiply by the face area?

Thanks very much for your reply. Using sample i've only managed to output a vtk file, which doesn't have face areas in it. Can I output face area using sample?

Ah - now I understand, but I don't know the answer. I assumed you were modifying a utility like patchIntegrate or wallShearStress, in which case you should be able to modify the utility slightly to write out what you need. Someone else probably has a more elegant solution.
