mc monti is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I try to create an axis symmetric mesh with salome, but I don't know how to export the axis of symmetrie. I created a group of edges but as soon I start converting it with ideasUnvToFoam I get an error message.

Code:
From function HashTable<T, Key, Hash>::operator[](const Key&)
    in file /home/opencfd/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.0/src/OpenFOAM/lnInclude/HashTableI.H at line 117.

FOAM exiting
If I remove the group in salome I can convert it without problems. But then I don't have an axis anymore. I did read the article in OpenFoam Wiki, but their is always expected that the conversion went alright.

Can somebody help me?

With axisymmetric you mean "In the OpenFAM-sense: a one cell thick wedge"? Not 100% sure, but I think that the converter has a bit of a problem with the wedge-cells at the axis.

In the past I found it easier to create a one cell thick 2D-mesh and let http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_MakeAxialMesh do the conversion to a wedge. But I'm not completely objective here
