Hi, all,

I am using snappyHexMesh and get this warning:

--> FOAM Warning : Displacement (0.00309022 -1.77636e-15 4.44089e-16) at mesh point 202843 coord (4.54691 -6.93027 3.9314) points through the surrounding patch faces

My checkMesh is fine. Does anyone know what is wrong with this? How do I fix this warning?

Thanks,
iL

Hi, all,

By the way, when I use snappyHexMesh, the mesh result are written to another folder (e.g. 1, 2, 3...) instead of folder 0. I need to copy the mesh from folder 3 to constant after final mesh. Is there a way to eliminate this step? Please kindly advise.

Thanks,
iL

Hello ivanwhlau,

have you maybe discovered what is causing this warning message? I'm interested in that as well because I'm having troubles with meshing my geometry.

Best regards,
Jakub

Yes, you can use the '-overwrite' option of snappyHexMesh. This will put the mesh folder you are applying it to. Just be careful not to lose your basecase in this way!
