Hi everybody,

I'am on OpenFOAM since 2 months. I'm trying to simulate a cylinder in rotation and added vibration.

I'm using dynamicMeshDict to rotate my mesh. But, when I add the oscillating movement, my rotational axis is not at the center of ma cylinder, so there is an excentration during rotation.

How fixed the axis of rotation at the center of my cylinder ?

Thanks for yours anwsers.

Have you considered a tabulated6DoFMotion? I have not tested it yet, but as far as I know you give the translation and rotation in regard to the center of gravity in a simple file for each time. I still might have a matlab script to create it with a defined mathematical expressions somewhere. It is not perfect though, but might help you to get a quick file. Tell me if you need it as well, then I will look if i can find it and post it for you.

Hope this helped

Henning
