hi dear formers
i have a question about scale of gases like co,co2 ,... can i put them by scale ppm (part per million) in o folder? thanks |
Hi Imany,
I don't understand for what kind of reason you want to work with ppm. Can you explain it to me, and to us in the same way ? If it is possible i can't help you. But let me say that you should make a conversion to work more easier on OpenFOAM. Hope you will find a way. Laurent |
hi again
i want to simulate distribution of co2 in a room the concentration of co2 from pollution source is 400 ppm can i set o folder by fixedValue value 400; ???? |
Hi,
I'm sorry i've searched about a way to define concentration of gases using "ppm" but i haven't found anything. If you find something interesting, i would like to know it. Anyways, you can use the parameter "nMoles" in the "/constant/thermoPhysicalProperties"-file to define the quantity of gas, but i don't know if this can help you. Say me what you can learn, good luck. Laurent |
hi please read this page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parts-per_notation |
I don't really see what you want me to learn on this Wikipedia page...
Maybe you wanted to show me that a volume fraction is dimensionless ? But you have Vco2/Vtotal = 400 ppm = 0.0001 x 400 = 0.04 %. You just have to multiply this value by the scalar density to have the mass of the co2. Laurent |
