Error viewing mesh result in paraView

I'm relatively new to OpenFOAM, and have been running through the tutorials with the aim of running a zero DoF case for a yacht hull (using LTSInterFoam). I have tried to use the Wigley hull as a basis, changing only the Allrun and Allclean, so that they ick up the new hull STL file in the triSurface folder.
Allrun ran fine, and the checkMesh came back as OK, but if I try and view the resuling mesh in ParaFOAM, I get the following error:
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
inconsistent patch and patchField types for
patch type symmetry and patchField type fixedValue
file: /home/adam/OpenFOAM/adam-2.4.0/run/408steadyResistance/0/U.boundaryField.sides from line 37 to line 44.
From function fvPatchField<Type>::New(const fvPatch&, const DimensionedField<Type, volMesh>&, const dictionary&)
in file /home/openfoam/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.4.0/src/finiteVolume/lnInclude/fvPatchFieldNew.C at line 172.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Can anybody help me out with this? I suspect it's something really simle that I've missed out/got wrong.
Thanks in advance,
