Trying to follow a tutorial on dam-break case I was unable to open this case within FoamX.
FoamX reported:
"The Open Case operation failed due to getApplication::Invalid application class name interFoam".

The terminal added:
Caught FoamXError exception in FoamXCaseServer::main(int argc, char **argv) :
FoamXError "getApplication::Invalid application class name 'interFoam'."
In function "IPropertiesImpl"
in file "IPropertiesImpl.C" at line 910
Finishing FoamXCaseServer::main(int argc, char **argv)

Meanwhile, I can process the case from command line without problem using interFoam ...

I went through icoFoam part of tutorial without problem and even processed some of my cases using icoFoam ind simpleFoam.

Any hint would be appreciated.

InterFoam was never configured for FoamX. Check the response by Mattijs in the following post:

There are config files for interFoam and FoamX in the OF-1.4.1 dev (SVN) version. See the FoamX directory at http://openfoam-extend.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/openfoam-extend/trunk/Core/Ope nFOAM-1.4.1-dev/applications/solvers/multiphase/interFoam/

Just copy the FoamX directory in your OpenFOAM-1.4.1/applications/solvers/multiphase/interFoam/ directory.

Hope it helps!
