You could check: - does anyth

You could check:
- does anything else run fine? e.g. blockMesh, or icoFoam.
- are you using the correct c++ compiler for your OpenFOAM version?
- if other programs run correctly maybe libFoamX (uses MICO libraries) was not compiled correctly?

Hi Mattijs,
Yes, the blockMesh and icoFoam are running fine. I believe I am using a correct c++ compiler cuz I download everything from the download page. Sorry I am very fresh to this. I didn't do anything except unzip all the files and putting them into recommended folders. Then I tried to run FoamX and it gives the libelf.so.0 problem, which I have fixed according you guys help in one old thread. Does it compiles every time it runs? Thank you for your time on my maybe ignorant question.

Looks weird.

- check what libraries libFoamX.so pulls in with ldd.

- recompile Mico
See $FOAM_SRC/Allwmake, section on Mico on how to recompile it.

- recompile FoamX.
See $FOAM_UTILITIES/preProcessing/FoamX/Allwmake.

Hi Mattijs,

I check the libraries that libFoamX.so pulls with ldd. Here is the info it comes out. I have no idea what it says. I am recompiling Mico using $FOAM_SRC/Allwmake. It seems it will take a while to finish....I'll let you know once it is done. Everything else works pretty well. Is that possible something was screwed up when the IT guy helped me set up the Fedora Systems? Because I think something might be wrong with the host setup. Thank you again for your help!
