Hello all,

I am trying to create a simple 2D case of an external (atmospheric flow) - the mesh is a "square".

To this domain, I would like to add a mean flow direction, as well as noise.

So, this is how I thought I could approach it: Outfit three of the sides of the domain with the turbulentInlet BC and the fourth side with an inletoutlet type condition.

First of all, I am not really sure if this is a good way to go about it, maybe someone has a better suggestion. Second, I would like to understand a bit better those two boundary conditions:

For turbulentInlet: I know that a reference value and a fluctuating scale value have to be given. But, are the fluctuations random? (e.g. white noise) or something else?

For the inletOutlet: I am not actually sure how this works or if it's the right boundary to use but essentially I need a boundary through which the flow will leave. (satisfy continuity).

Thank you very much for any help you can give me!
