Since OpenFOAM seems to implement the PISO version that deals with absolute variables instead of fractions of correction, this will require a divergence free initial field (Isaa 86). In the case of turbulent channel flow simulation where initial field is random Gaussian, do I really have to make the field divergence free or I understood something wrong.

No, don't bother - the first pressure solution will do it for you. If you absolutely insist (e.g. detailed transient), run potentialFoam first.

Does this mean that H() includes d_i (u_i)n (old value) so I do not need to worry about the condition of divergence free?
