How to create BCs?

Beginner's question:
I have created the STL- geom and imported it by using snappyHexMesh.
sHM worked well, but how do I get the boundary conditions to OpenFoam?

=> I used DISCRETIZER, but that didn't work very well.

If you use discretizer-setup.
After you created the snappyHexMesh. Reload that mesh and then choos a solver (simpleFoam etc).
Now you can create BC:s.

You should be able to find a list of faces etc in constant/polyMesh/boundary. Then, using these names, you can define the BC's in 0/U 0/p etc.

You can have a look:
http://www.discretizer.org/node/14

last video shows an example of applying BC:s

Hi Björn,

Discretizer looks nice! Thanks for the effort!

Got it!

Thank you Björn and gwierink (what ever that means)!!!
Morning has broken and sim got runnin'.
YaYaYa!!!

Thanks for discretizer! Nice tool - but manual is needed!

(Steps were: Geom in Pro/E=> STL with Pro/E => Editing STL manually (separating inlet/outlet faces) => creating mesh under DISCRETIZER with snappyHexmesh => creating BCs with DISCRETIZER => starting and viewing sim)

Hi Jörg,

Good to hear things are running!

That means my username, my first name is Gijs for short. Don't tease me with that, I was born with it ... ;)

I'm setting up an external aero case as a tutorial.
