OpenFoam Pre-Processing on Windows 7

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into decent GUIs for OpenFoam on Windows. I came across two seemingly very good ones:

1. http://www.symscape.com/product/professional
2. http://www.dhcae-tools.com/CastNet

Does anyone around here use them or have used one of them? what's your experience been like? the good, the bad and the ugly? if you used both what's your thoughts on the comparison between the two?

thanks
Joe

Hi,
Well if you dont mind, have you tried Discritizer for OpenFOAM?
It is FREE of Cost and decent enough.

Yes, I'm trying that too. I'm just looking into several alternatives at the moment.
I'm also looking into fully Linux or fully Windows systems i.e. pre-processing, OF, post processing all in one or the other platform.

Do you know if Altair Hypermesh have or will have pre-processing capability for OpenFoam?

Hi,

Castnet has the ability to import CAD-files of Parasolid ,ACIS or Granite CAD-Format, it has GUI`s so that you can manage/handle Simulationīs for a couple of Solvers.

A top class product is FOAMpro http://www.iconcfd.com/de/services/foampro but the price tag is quite high.

ANSA can be used directly for OpenFOAM
Hypermesh should have support for OF as well.
