Pollution source at patch

Hi

I would like to know how I can introduce a pollution source at an inlet patch. I am simulating vehicle pollutants at ground level. I think I need to first create a patch at the ground level for pollution.

How can I then specify the pollution Nitrogen dioxide, and emission rate ? I am using simpleFoam. Do I need to use another solver ?

thanks

Hi,

I'm working on a similar problem. I recommend you to use sprayFoam and simply add the species you want to trace as scalars. You can then define their concentrations at all boundaries. By e.g. defining your inlet patch beeing 100 mass percent nitrogen dioxide, it is possible to let NO2 flow into the domain.

Hope I was able to help.

Regards,

Rob
