Implement mesh-internal wall, specify cells by height

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I'm trying to implement the following. I want to have a domain where i have some cells that I want to remove from the flow calculation, i.e. I want to create a wall inside the mesh, which is not on my boundary (see picture for clarity). I need the cells below this mesh-internal wall to do some other calculations with. the mesh-internal wall should behave like a regular wall boundary patch.
my idea how to do this is to write a bit of code that picks the cells below the mesh-internal wall according to cell height and then making those cells behave like a wall boundary. Is this the best way? or is there any other options someone can think of? i am anticipating to use mesh.C() as the criteria (cell z value) to select cells.
Thanks

hello,

Not sure why you would do that, but you may take a look at http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_icoBlockedCellFoam.

olivier
