piston-type wave-maker by interDyMFoam

Dear FOAMers:
Glad to meet you! I want to make a piston-type wave-maker by interDyMFoam.
But I have two questions:
1.At the start-time, the piston(left boundary) moves rightward, so the water level should rise. But in fact, the water goes down! Do you have the same question?
2.interDyMFoam change the time-step automatically, so the solver runs slower and slower. It's so slow that it can't calculate for 0.1s in a whole night! Can anyone give me some advice?
Thank you very much!:)

Hello everyone:
maybe I should some information for question 1:
If I set the wave height to be 0, which means the mesh is static, it can run well(for example, dam break)
But if the left boundary moves(to make wave),then it seems water doesn't move in the correct way.

Have you check that alpha1 = 1 means fluid and that gravity is pointing in the correct direction?
