Default How to test the class in OpenFoam

Hi,openformers. I am a newcomer.Now ,i want to test some method and variables in the class fvMesh. How should I go to do ?
For example ,i use the blockMesh and create the Mesh .Then i write a file "...\test\test.C",and how can i test the geometricField calss directly ni the test.C?

a similar problem .when i do the blockMesh ,how does the data created be stored? And how to read and use the data!?
