Hi guys,

Can anyone tell where I may find the reference for the 'general' and 'simple' models for Vdj in solver 'settlingFoam'?

Really appreciate.

Thanks.

The 'simple' model is the Vesilind model.

The 'general' model is the Takacs model.

The standard version of these models publishes coefficients for suspended solids measured in mass units, typically mg/l, sometimes g/l.

settlingFoam uses volumetric fraction, so you need to convert.

volumetric fraction x solids density should be good enough
