Hi Niels,
Thanks again for your reply. Just this last question I have . It would be great if you can give me some pointers ... Actually I am stuck with a library ( not waves2foam ), which cannot see the mesh or any other fields(U,p). I read in one of the posts that Istream can be used to access these fields. Are you aware of any code snippets that does this. Have a great week Best regards Kumar [Moderator note: moved from the old thread Waves2Foam Related Topics ] Last edited by wyldckat; October 8, 2018 at 10:09. Reason: see "Moderator note:" |

Hi Kumar,
This thread is dedicated to waves2Foam, so I would recommend you to start a new thread. Furthermore do an effort in describing your problems in more detail, as it is otherwise impossible to help with your actual problem. Kind regards, Niels

Dear All,
Is there anyway to access the velocity fields and the mesh from inside the class: Foam::sixDoFRigidBodyMotionRestraints::linearSprin g The class is located here: OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.0/src/postProcessing/functionObjects/forces/pointPatchFields/derived/sixDoFRigidBodyMotion/sixDoFRigidBodyMotionRestraint/linearSpring ( This method: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post254591 , does not work for the linearSpring class) I came across this post, http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post266526 , which talks about using IFstream to access the mesh , field values. Can anyone comment a little more on this, perhaps give a code snippet as an example.. Thanks in advance Kumar |

Dear Niels,
My apologies for the misplaced posting and lack of info. As suggested by you, I have opened a new thread under programming&development. Here is a link if you choose to take a look, http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post504368 . I have to thank you again for your continued eagerness for keeping this wave2foam thread as active and informational as it possibly can be. Best regards Kumar |
