Hi!
I've been using STAR-CCM+ to solve hydrodynamic problems involving compressible air and incompressible water, with mesh motion - but it would be very intersting to do the same in OF. I have been using interDyMFoam quite a bit from before, but that solver is for two incompressible fluids. I have been looking through the standard solvers of OF, and there doesn't seem to be any multiphase solver for compressible fluids with mesh motion.

compressibleInterFoam exists, which only lack mesh motion. Is it possible to add mesh motion to this solver, or maybe even better, add compressibility to only one of the phases in interDyMFoam (the water doesn't have to be compressible)? I have never made any changes to the source code of OF before, so I really don't know much of this at all. I have some programming experience, but if this is too comprehensive I don't think I'm able to pull it off.
How difficult do you think it would be?

Hello,

At least from the 2.2.2 OF version, the is an compressibleInterDyMFoam solver.

regards,
Olivier

Aaaah, I see now! I should have just gone through the tutorial folders instead of searching here. Well, then I guess this problem was easier to solve than I thought

Thanks!
