Porosity and twoPhaseEulerFoam
Hi dear OpenFoam users,
I am wondering if it is possible to modify twoPhaseEulerFoam in order to study gas-liquid flow inside a channel including a porous plate? In my problem, the gas phase is dispersed into liquid phase through a porous plate. The only solver is porousInterFoam that provide solution based on VOF method. But, I want to study my problem based on Eulerian-Eulerian approach and for this, I want to develop new code with focusing on twoPhaseEulerFoam solver. I would be appreciated if you let me know your suggestion and comments. Thanks |
Hi Ehsan,
I struggle with the same problem because I need to evaluate the mass flows of the two phases separately through a porous medium. The VOF mehtod used in porousinterfoam seems to be inappropriate for that because it provides only one velocity field for both phases. Did you change the solver or do you have by now any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you for your help in advance! Regards Christian |

Hello,
i'm also interested in modelling this kind of problem. Two phase Euler with porosity. Are there any tips from experienced users?! thanks a lot! |
Hi guys,
news for this problem?? i'm your same situation...:) |
Actually i'm/we are curious about the "private message" :D

Two phase Euler with porosity
Two phase Euler with porosity, has anyone managed to do so?

porosity cellzone in a twoPhaseEulerFoam simulation
Hi, I am still facing the same problem. Have anyone managed to include a porosity cellzone in a twoPhaseEulerFoam simulation?

Just one thought:
Have you tried to use a porosity source using fvOptions? |
I think this post is approximately the same. So, I am putting a link for reference. I think a solution is proposed there.
