Hi there,

I have got a question regarding the convection term in the momentum equation of rhoCentralFoam. This is written as:
Code:
solve(fvm::ddt(rhoU) + fvc::div(phiUp));
with surfaceVectorField phiUp. However I wonder how this works out in regard to dimensions since divergence of a vector field should be a scalar field, while ddt(rhoU) results in a vector field. What do I miss?

Kind regards

Alexander

Hello alch,

phiUp is a surfaceVectorField. Look into line 173 of rhoCentralFoam.C.
