What is taken in the calculation of the result when you go from a laminar model to a turbulent model?
I am wondering if something simila happens when you switch turbulence models, for example going from k-epsilon to k-Omega you don't need the epsilon feild any more so you can delete it and openFoam won't complain

About how turbulence models work in OF you need to read documents, way bigger than a post in forum.

The only files needed are the input files to the method, the rest will be calculated during the simulation. For example for k-epsilon you need them both, but for k-Omega you only need k and omega. Even though epsilon is used during the solution but it will be calculated and input file is not needed. You can try this by simply changing the name of the files and do a test run to see if OF complains about a missing file or not?
