Recompile a solver

Hi foamers,
I know itīs a ridiculous question:

I modified the the solver icoFoam to work with adjustTimeStep. Know I donīt know, how to recompile my OpenFoam. The solver has the path:
/usr/lib/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/solvers/incompressible/icoFoam$
For installing OpenFoam i used a debian package.

For the changes on the solver, I used the following instructions:

OK, here some more detailed infomation:

I get the message, that permission is denied, when I want to use wmake. When I try "sudo wmake", I get the message "command not found".

How can I solve this problem?

hi
first you should not make any change in OpenFOAM-1.x !
copy the solver in you own working directory: yourname-1.x/applications
and add _USER_ in the make/files
now wmake should not complain

Thanks AureliaV for your answer. I cogitated about that way, but i was afraid of kiling my installation.
