Hello,

I would like to sample the skewness and kurtosis of the velocity field. In other words one could easily access the first and second order moments (uMean and uPrimeToMean) and now I would like to extend this to access also the third and forth order moments.
My first guess would be to include the sampling of mean(u_i*u_j*u_k) in fieldAverage.C. Now my questions are:

1) Is there already something included in OpenFoam and I am to stupid to find it? I know that third and fourth order moments are not quite common in fluid mechanics.

2) Did anybody already implemented something like skewness and tested it successfully? May I could have a look into the code

kind regards,
Fabian
