Acoustic with OpenFoam

Hi Everyone,

I intend to implement an acoustic code in OpenFoam to calculate flow induced noise. I think about using the EIF-Method where I calculate an incompressible, viscous flow. On top of this, the acoustic is assumed to be compressible and in viscid.

Is there anyone, who did so already, and who is willing to give me some help, so I do not have to start from scratch?

Next to this, I’m pretty new in programming with OpenFoam. So I would appreciate your help even more.

Cheers

Thilo

As there seems to be no acoustic cfd-solver jet, I started to impement one. But as I posted before, I'm new in opemFoam programming an so I would be happy to get some help.

My first equation loos like

ddt \int_V rho dV + \int_A U*n dA = 0, where U is kind of velocity vector, n is the surface normal and rho the density.

Is there a possibility to write this as an equation?

Thank you very much for your help

Thilo
