Mutiphase flow solver

Dear OpenFoam Community,

I hope everything is fine with you. I have some doubts with OpenFoam that I would like to share with you. Maybe you can solve them. I am using the multiphase flow solver TwoLiquidsMixingFoam. The momentum equation is in Ueqn.H. I don't understand:

******************************

1)
Why the gravity term is

ghf*fvc::snGrad(rho)
instead of only ghf*rho
Why this surface normal gradient in rho??

************************************************** *****************

3) Why the pressure gradient term is:

fvc::snGrad(p_rgh)
instead of only
fvc:: grad(p_rgh)
Why surface normal gradient?

Does anyone have any idea??? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks a lot in advance
