Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to simulate fluid sloshing with interdymfoam using several independent tanks (meshes). I have tried it separately and all of them works but when i try to simulate alltogether ( mergemeshes) fail.

Regards

Hi,

I meet similar problems as you described. Did you solve the problem? Or do you know how to
simulate several independent tanks using interDyMFoam?

Thanks.

Best,

Elliot

Does mergemeshes fail, or does the simulation fail?

Yes, the merged meshes failed. The time step become small and small as the simulation proceeds and it fails in 0.5 simulation time.

I was trying to simulate two tanks sloshing at the same time.
Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Do you mean I need to merge the mesh of two tanks first?

Thanks.

What I was wondering is if the mergeMeshes utility failed or if the solver failed. Judging from your comment about, I assume that mergeMeshes works but your solver crashes.

Hello,
In my case I import the mesh using front other software and I was imposible to me run the case. The solver fail
If the meshes share some elements I think it would be possible
