Hi aban;
if you have a look at the allRun script within the icoFoam folder you'll see that the command to run is:

Code:

fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh
which, in this case, was started from the icoFoam folder, so the folder just outside your case directory.

should i copy this allrun script to my working dir.
what command i must give in place of blockMesh, is it fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh or just fluentMeshToFoam?

You don't need to copy the script.
I don't know about the blockMesh. I think you can try though…
The command is the one I posted above:

Code:

fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh

i have tried this, but i am getting the same error.

"johns@ubuntu:~$ cd OpenFOAM/johns-2.1.0/run/elbow
johns@ubuntu:~/OpenFOAM/johns-2.1.0/run/elbow$ fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh

Usage: fluentMeshToFoam [OPTIONS] <Fluent mesh file>

-noFunctionObjects
do not execute functionObjects
-scale <factor> geometry scaling factor - default is 1
-writeSets write cell zones and patches as sets
-writeZones write cell zones as zones
-srcDoc display source code in browser
-doc display application documentation in browser
-help print the usage
