i was trying to run icofoam/elbow tutorial.
here i tried the fluentMeshToFoam command. then i get the following message
johns@ubuntu:~/OpenFOAM/johns-2.1.0/run/elbow$ fluentMeshToFoam

Usage: fluentMeshToFoam [OPTIONS] <Fluent mesh file>
options:
-case <dir> specify alternate case directory, default is the cwd
-noFunctionObjects
do not execute functionObjects
-scale <factor> geometry scaling factor - default is 1
-writeSets write cell zones and patches as sets
-writeZones write cell zones as zones
-srcDoc display source code in browser
-doc display application documentation in browser
-help print the usage

Using: OpenFOAM-2.1.0 (see www.OpenFOAM.org)
Build: 2.1.0-0bc225064152


can any one help in this issue

Hi aban;
if you have a look at the allRun script within the icoFoam folder you'll see that the command to run is:

fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh
which, in this case, was started from the icoFoam folder, so the folder just outside your case directory.

should i copy this allrun script to my working dir.
what command i must give in place of blockMesh, is it fluentMeshToFoam elbow elbow/elbow.msh or just fluentMeshToFoam?

You don't need to copy the script.
I don't know about the blockMesh. I think you can try though…

i have tried this, but i am getting the same error.
