pimpleDyMFoam or icoDyMFoam

If I'm looking to simulate a flow over a pitching airfoil at a Reynolds number of 50,000 without modeling turbulence, are icoDyMFoam and pimpleDyMFoam effectively the same solver?

Well without turbulence then icoDyMFoam should be used.

I am new to OpenFOAM, but shouldn't that be the same if the simulationType is set to laminar in the turbulenceProperties file for pimpleDyMFoam ?
