Problems with KOmegaSST

2 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I am running some steady/transient, turbulent simulations with simple/pimpleFoam using kOmegaSST. I have two questions.

I canīt get any convergence for the steady laminar case, although I am using "correct" boundary conditions for U and p
(see attachment: laminarSteady).

For the unsteady turbulent case I have an over estimation of the lift (which is what to expect without using any transition model) but the simulations are very slow (see attachment turbulentTansient).

Can you please post comments about this matter?

thank you very much.

Here are some figures of my mesh (yPlus = 26, so I am using a wall function for the case where the turbulence is on), the results I get for simpleFoam (laminar and steady) for U and p and lift coefficient.

I am really frustrated that I canīt obtain correct results even for the simple case where the flow is laminar and steady, and also that I got no answer to any of my posts concerning KomegaSST in openFoam. :( where are you Senior Members I need help :(
