3d turbulence

Hi!
I am trying to simulate density current(lock exchange/ dam break type problem) in openfoam using bouyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam.I run my simulation & the problem that i am facing is I want 3d fluctuations(due to turbulence) in my simulation but it doesn't show any. What I mean I want variation of alpha1 in Z direction(3d variation of property ).I found interFoam with dambreak case also showing a flat surface in contour plot which means no variation of alpha1 in z direction.I appreciate any suggestion.I am new to openfoam & stuck with this problem for so long.I attached 2 fig what I have got from my simulation(fig(1)contour plot) & what I required(fig(2))

What turbulence model do you use? Or are you trying a DNS?

I used RAS model here for turbulence.

Then it makes sense, since RANS models only give you average quantities.

Have you got any 3D turbulence in any other model?I am really got stuck with this ..may be due to low mesh I could not find any instability but I couldnt find any variation in alpha1 in z span.
