setting cyclic bc and mapping it several times on a bigger target patch

Hello dear foamers!

I am quite new to openfoam and I need your help and suggestion on how to solve my problem. I didnt found anything similar on the web for OF 2.1 yet.

To simplify my problem imagine I have two meshes. One is a cylinder and shall represent a pipe (f.e. lenght = 10m diameter=1m ) and the other one is a sixth of a cylindrical geometry/ring sitting concentrical on the first cylinder barrel (f.e. l=1m r=3m). I made a sketch for illustration.

Now, I want a mesh and a simulation, so that the intersecting area is set to cyclic boundary condition [green]. And here is my problem: I want the other 5/6 area [green shaded] (which arent intersected by the second mesh ) being also set to cyclic bc, as if a ring would be placed on that first cylinder.

I dont want to simulate the full ring, so it has to be such a setting. Do anyone know how I could solve this?

I appreciate your work on this page and want to thank for your great work!
