Implementation of a gas source in resting air

Hey there,

I'm currently working on a calculation of pollution dispersion, where gas leaks out of a gas bottle. As I'm quite new in CFD computing I worked through all the tutorial cases coming with OpenFOAM and still I don't have a clue about how to set up boundary conditions so that a certain gas mass flow leaks into resting air and I get a three dimensional calculation of the time-resolved dispersion of that gas in the surrounding.

Maybe anyone of you has already done such calculation before and is able to help me out? I'd be really thankful for any hint or adequate tutorial referring to such case! :)

Thanks a lot!

Robert

P.S.: Please don't mind my English, I'm not a native speaker. ;)

I somehow figured out how to realize a gas source. But could you please tell me which solver is the best for gas dispersion calculation?

Thanks a lot.

Robert
