Velocity Oscillations in PisoFoam

Hello -
I am getting spurious Uz oscillations when using PisoFoam. To explore the problem I have input an initial field that oscillates from a positive to a negative value at each consecutive depth. When I let the run go nothing happens to the velocities - they stay there stably (even though from a physical standpoint there is lots of divergence which should not occur). The pressure field also oscillates. In the attached png I have shown a pictures of a vertical slice of my grid for pressure and vertical velocity at time =100 as well as my fvSchemes. I need to somehow change my discretization schemes so that the oscillations go away so they do not occur during my simulation. Thanks is advance for the help! |
