which solver should be choose about a stirred tank?

Hi Foamers

I want to simulate a gas- liquid stirred tank . when the agitator blade is running the gas is injected at the bottom.
I check out the solvers , bubbleFoam and twoPhaseeulerFoam maybe suitable for this. but twoPhaseeulerFoam has lots paremeters which bubbleFoam dont have.
so which solvers should I pick?
Thanks very much.

before I simulate the stirred tank, I try to simulate air being injected into water using twoPhaseEulerFoam.
seems like both air and water should be continuous phase, but in twoPhaseEulerFoam I have to set a dispersed phase. even if I set the air or the water is the dispersed phase, how can I know the da or db?

can anybody help me about this? I have been obstructed by this for two days.

Hi sharonyue,

I'm also working on this issue right now. I tried interFoam as well. I would suggest you to test these solvers first by comparing with experimental data.

There is another thread about this issue
