Hi Foamers:

But ICEM is different with GAMBIT, is there any tutorial of ICEM? I am confused of setting MRFzones..

Hi,
Please explain more about your problem, what you want to do? where you are getting doubt? what are the boundary condition you want to use?

create you geometry and give the BC according to your need and ICEM.
for your rotating region give wall BC the export the mesh in to .msh format

then export OF using fluent3DMeshToFoam
to create sets just follow the below link

Thanks,

Thanks Aadhavan, What confused me is I didn't know how to set BC in ICEM.because in other cases I just set the BC in openfoam, I only set the PARTS in ICEM such as outlet, inlet, walls, but someone said if u wanna use MRF,u have to set BC in ICEM,so I don't know what to do in the next step. BTW, I have tried without setting BC in ICEM, but after fluentMeshToFoam, there is nothing in the cellZones dictionary .

the image I attack below. the outter cylinder is wall, the inner cylinder is rotating zone, and I want the cube to rotate.

Hi,
The wiki MRFSimpleFoam, is the only tutorial similar to your problem.
I dont know ICEM so I can not give you any idea in that regards.

I am using Gambit, I didnt give mfr zone in gamit. I have defined only periodic condition , inlet, outlet and wall after that, I have used createPatch and topoSet (to specify the rotating zone). I hope you can also follow this way.

the usage of topoSet and createPatch, go through the link in the previous post.

thanks,
Aadhavan
