density based solvers
in my thesis there are velocities around 300 when sound speed is 600 and also there are moving shocks like shock tube.Im confused what solver should I use.until now I thought rhopimplefoam is suitable but now I read some about type of solvers. It was be written that they both now can be used for incomp and comp flows.but im unsure.

which kind of equation describes your flow? Euler, Navier-Stokes or anything else?

But like you suggested in your other thread, rhoCentralFoam can be a good choice. Perhaps have a look into the source-code of the solvers and the tutorials, which one might fit to your case. Normaly there is a small description of the properties of the solver. Or have a look into the OpenFOAM wiki or this forum.
