Hello there,

I am cfd'ing a planing hull, and to reduce ventilation under the hull I need some interfacecompression.

In fvScheme I have under divSchemes: div(phirb,alpha) Gauss interfaceCompression;

but in fvSolution there is also under alpha.water solver: icAlpha and scAlpha.

I suppose icAlpha is short for isotropic Compression. However, what are the differences between all these three icAlpha, scAlpha and Gauss interfacecompression and what value should they have?

It is very difficult to find information online on the icAlpha and scAlpha.

any help is much appreciated.
