LES boundary layer

Hello,

I am going to run a LES case using the Spalding law to calculate the turbulent eddy viscosity at the boundary.
OpenFOAM provides a patch called --> mutUSpaldingWallFunction

My question is:

How many grid lines should I set in the boundary layer?
Where should I place the first grid point? (y+)

Thanks a lot in advance
