mass transfer through porous media
 

Hi Foamers,

i want to simulate mass transfer across porous media. so, i will use analogy between heat and mass transfer in simulation in order to use chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam. the problem is this solvers deals only with solids and fluids but not with porous media. my questions are:

1- could i define porous zone in this solver.
2- could i modify this solver to implement porous media using porousSimpleFoam solver.
3- in src/thermoPhysicalModels/thermalPorousZone i don't know how to use this file(boundary condition, or zone type,...).
4- in chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam it is referring to solid by field in porousSimpleFoam it referring to porous media by zone is this any difference between field and zone.
