LES for urban areas -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

hydraulic New Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Nantes Posts: 14 Rep Power: 14	Dear all, I plan to compute some LES simulations using OpenFOAM to study to flow field around a urban area (1km2). I' m collecting experimental data since 1 month (3d anemometers mean+turbulence) and i would like now to run LES. I m confused with all the models proposed by OpenFOAM, which one would you recommend me? the dynOneEqEddy is adequate? i plan to use the cubeRootVol as the delta. Regarding the inlet, i plan to use cyclic boundary conditions. Regarding the mesh, i prepared one with cells 1m close to the ground/wall. Does someone has any suggestion or tried to run LES for such case. Thanks in advance for your help.
