Bryan S is on a distinguished road
Hello all, I am trying to simulate steady-state, compressible, laminar, viscous flow through a long, narrow converging-diverging nozzle with a perfect gas thermodynamics model. I have been attempting to use rhoCentralFoam but my computation keeps crashing with an error related to calculating enthalpy (or internal energy, it doesn't matter which I use) about 60-100 timesteps into the computation which should be on the order of 10^5 or 10^6 timesteps. My mesh is fine, my Courant number is below 1 everywhere. Is there another solver I can use instead of rhoCentralFoam that is better suited to my problem?

I have heard that rhoSimpleFoam might be better, but the only examples I can find require turbulence parameters like k and epsilon, is there a way to do a strictly laminar case in rhoSimpleFoam that does not require these parameters?

Thanks,
Bryan
