interPhaseChangeFoam and MRF in OF 2.2.1

Dear OF users,,
I would like to compute cavitating flows for rotating geometries that, in non cavitating conditions, can be successfully computed using simpleFoam with MRF source (i.e. marine propellers in uniform inflow).

My question is: is the MRF source available also for the interPhaseChangeFoam through the fvOption dictionary (as for simpleFoam that now inherently include the functionalities of the old MRFSimpleFoam), or I need to build a custom solver ?

Thank You!

Hi,

As far as I know interChangePhaseFoam is based on the PIMPLE algorithm so perhaps it would be easier for you to combine interDyMFoam and interChangePhaseFoam and use sliding meshes to solve your problem?

Best of luck,

A
