temperature in reactingFoam

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody,

I made a very simple test with the reactingFoam tutorial counterFlowFlame2D and got an unexpected result so I would like to share it to see if there is some good explanation. My idea was to use reactingFoam to model mixing of two fluids with different compositions and temperatures (without reactions). So i started by changing the keyword active to false in the combustionProperties dictionary.
Then I set all temperature boundary and initial values to 800K. Then i solved the case and surprise, the temperature field deviates from 800K, ranging from approx 790K to 830K.
I checked then whether some products of reaction were present but no CO2 or H2O present.

anyone has a good explanation for this?
