Implementing flamelet libraries for partially premixed flames in OpenFOAm

Hello Foamers,

I am trying to simulate partially-premixed flames using OpenFOAM and I wanted to know has anybody implemented flamelet libraries for these types of flames because I was not able to find any.

Can anyone give me a link to a PhD thesis on this topic or any other document?

Thanks,

Rohit

Hi,
you can have a look to the FGM model implemented by Hannes Kroger (you can find the related thread on the forum). I think that there is not available otherwise a partially-premixed flamelet generator (maybe I am wrong). You can try also with the libOpenSmoke that has to be extended for premixed flamelet.

Then do you know how to extend the libOpenSMOKE (SLF) to premixed flamelet?
Do you have any idea?

Wen

No, finally I don't modify libOpenSmoke. Instead, I decide to start from FlameMaster (free download) in order to generate premixed flamelet and then use the solution to built the FGM model.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I also use the FM to generate the flamelet library, but I am implementing the premixed famelets based on FPV model coupled with the level set method. However, it is very difficult... Have you successfully implemented the FGM model to simulate the premixed flame?

Best,
Wen
