Hello Everyone,

I am trying to simulate premixed flame using one-step global reaction mechanism and PaSR model. I am now running only the non-reacting case, after running the simulation for sometime I found that in the log file number of iterations for specie CH4 is equal to zero and when I plot them I see that CH4 has stopped moving and becomes stagnant with time. This is how the log file looks.

Code:
diagonal: Solving for rho, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0
DILUPBiCG: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 4.81997e-05, Final residual = 1.17875e-07, No Iterations 1
DILUPBiCG: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 4.54775e-05, Final residual = 1.00746e-07, No Iterations 1
DILUPBiCG: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 6.17566e-06, Final residual = 1.03197e-08, No Iterations 1
DILUPBiCG: Solving for O2, Initial residual = 2.59847e-06, Final residual = 8.45414e-09, No Iterations 1
DILUPBiCG: Solving for H2O, Initial residual = 8.70219e-07, Final residual = 8.70219e-07, No Iterations 0
DILUPBiCG: Solving for CH4, Initial residual = 5.39512e-07, Final residual = 5.39512e-07, No Iterations 0
DILUPBiCG: Solving for CO2, Initial residual = 8.70219e-07, Final residual = 8.70219e-07, No Iterations 0
DILUPBiCG: Solving for h, Initial residual = 7.62988e-07, Final residual = 7.62988e-07, No Iterations 0
min/max(T) = 292.129, 1597.65
DICPCG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 0.00147716, Final residual = 7.77343e-05, No Iterations 1
diagonal: Solving for rho, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0
time step continuity errors : sum local = 1.61415e-06, global = 2.16576e-07, cumulative = 0.0100902
DICPCG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 7.77416e-05, Final residual = 9.1615e-07, No Iterations 19
diagonal: Solving for rho, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0
time step continuity errors : sum local = 1.61366e-06, global = 2.13379e-07, cumulative = 0.0100904
bounding k, min: 2.23952e-38 max: 1.0119 average: 0.00109675
ExecutionTime = 14190 s  ClockTime = 14266 s

Courant Number mean: 6.74676e-05 max: 0.499129
deltaT = 7.19424e-06
Time = 0.145194

The species equations are being solved and everything looks fine except above problem, can anyone suggest anything.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Rohit

Greetings Rohit

Lower the tolerance of your solvers in fvSolution file. (Especially Yi)

I think then you will have your CH4 Matrix solved.
