Hi, everyone!

I work with the Multiphaseinterfoam which is added energy equation and a viscosity model. Firstly, this solver have finished the two phase flow like the picture 1, and the interface between red and blue is good. secondly, I set the third phases with funkysetfields in a circle(to be a bubble) like the picture 2. Lastly, I run the Multiphaseinterfoam again to get the deformation of the bubble.

Unfortunately, the interface of the bubble become more and more fuzzy with the time going as shown as the picture 3. what's more, the interface between the early two phases is still good.

why the interface of bubble become fuzzy? Any answer is welcome! Thanks in advance!

Hi
I think it's due to not used drag force equation in this solver!!

Hi zhanglei,

I've heard on forums that this has something to do with being in the MULES loop.
Ma I ask how you managed to add temperature to multiphaseinterfoam? I am attempting this and I've modified the phases .h and .c and the multiphaseMixture.h and .c files to add a transportproperty but I cant get the solver to compile. Am I missing something? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Tom Flint

Hi
I suggest you to use multiphaseEulerFoam
it is like the solver you mentioned and have temperature itself

base on my case I do not deal with termo peroblems actually
hope be useful

Thankyou very much,

I will look at that and I managed to solve my problem, I was pointing the solver to the old multiphasemixture library. Once I changed the make folder appropriately it runs, although now I realise the temperature implementation is quite difficult :s

Thankyou again,

Tom
