Hi All,

How do I define heat transfer coeff and ambient temperature convection type boundary condition in "Heat transfer and buoyancy-driven flows" OpenFOAM standard solvers.

Thanks,
gupta

Hi gupta,
You can use groovyBC (https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib/groovyBC) boundary condition for this. It's so easy to impose convection heat transfer boundary with this.

cheers

Thank you very much Shakil. I am sorry, I was not able to figure it out. Can you please send me some example.

Thank you again.

Do you mean a Marangoni boundary type?

It is a heat flux boundary condition where heat flux is defined as

Q/A = h (T - Tambient)

User defines h and Tambient

T is the temperature of cell next to wall.

Thanks,
