Hello CFD community,

i want to simulate gravity waves in a box with free surface. So Interfoam should be the right solver. I started trying to use a transport equation to realize the "linear" increase of the desity in depth. This doesnt worked so i'm nearly despair of it. The big problem is that interfoam uses rho1 for alpha1 as a constant so its tricky to create the salinity.

I hope someone can halp me

Hello Ian,

I am also trying to solve a similar kind of problem with interFoam solver for open channel flow.

Have you had any success so far while solving this problem ?

Regards,

Meher.
